چکیده

In the decay of Υ(4S), the decay time distribution of Υ(4S) → f + X, where f is a final state that both B and B 0 can decay to, is the sum of the decay time distributions of B → f and B → f . Using this general rule, we estimate the sensitivity of single lepton CP violation measurements with respect to that of traditional di-lepton measurements. We find that the sensitivity of the single lepton method is comparable to or better than that of the di-lepton method. The two data samples are largely statistically independent, so that they can be combined to improve sensitivity. The advantage of the single lepton measurement increases for large mixings, which suggests that the single lepton method holds promise for Bs. We also discuss lepton asymmetry measurements on the Z 0 peak and in hadron colliders. The achievable sensitivity with the currently available data is already in the range relevant to standard model predictions.

Purely Flavored Leptogenesis

We study a model for leptogenesis in which the total CP asymmetries in the decays and scatterings involving the SU(2) singlet seesaw neutrinos Nα vanish (ǫNα = 0). Leptogenesis is possible due to non-vanishing CP violating lepton flavor asymmetries, realizing a situation in which the baryon asymmetry is due exclusively to flavor effects. We study the production of a net lepton asymmetry by solv...

Exclusive radiative and electroweak b → d and b → s penguin decays at NLO

Exclusive radiative and electroweak b → d and b → s penguin decays at NLO Abstract We provide Standard Model expectations for the rare radiative decays B → K * γ, B → ργ and B → ωγ, and the electroweak penguin decays B → K * ℓ + ℓ − and B → ρ ℓ + ℓ − at the next-to-leading order (NLO), extending our previous results to b → d transitions. We consider branching fractions, isospin asymmetries and ...

Leptogenesis in the Exceptional Supersymmetric Standard Model: flavour dependent lepton asymmetries

We calculate flavour dependent lepton asymmetries within the E6 inspired Supersymmetric Standard Model (E6SSM), which has an extra U(1)N symmetry. In this model, the right-handed neutrino doesn’t participate in gauge interactions, allowing it to be used for both the see–saw mechanism and leptogenesis. Extra Higgs, leptons and leptoquarks predicted by the E6SSM contribute to the ordinary lepton ...

On the CP asymmetries in Majorana neutrino decays

We study the CP asymmetries in lepton number violating two body scattering processes and show explicitly how they vanish, in agreement with unitarity constraints. We relate these cross section asymmetries to the CP decay rate asymmetries of the intermediate massive neutrinos and show how the inclusion of the Universe expansion via Boltzmann equations is the key ingredient to produce a non-vanis...

In supersymmetry with large tan β the decays B 0 (¯ B 0) → l + l − are dominated by the scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs penguin diagrams leading to strong enhancement of leptonic decay rates with potentially large CP asymmetries in the τ + τ − decay modes measurable in BELLE or BABAR experiments. The TAUOLA τ-lepton decay library supplemented by its universal interface can efficiently be used to ...
